Campfires are currently prohibited throughout all Manning Park Campsites

 

A campfire is defined as:
An open fire that burns piled material no larger than 0.5 m in height and 0.5 m in width and is used by any person for recreational purpose, or by a First Nation for a ceremonial purpose. More information

The Guest Speaker Programs are ongoing all summer at Manning Park. We are still finalizing dates and guests for this season, so please stay tuned for the latest details and updates.

Bavarian Alpenhorn Performance

The “Guenztaler” Alpenhorn performers from Bavaria are coming to Manning Park for two great performances! To showcase their traditional Mountain culture they are offering the following free performances:

July 48-8:30 pm Lightning Lake Amphitheatre (followed by short program by our naturalists)

July 510:30-11am Blackwall Road by Naturalist Hut (followed by Wildflower walk)
Come experience this wonderful traditional mountain horn performance!

Learn to Fish

Once again the Freshwater Fisheries Folks will be bringing their Learn to Fish programs to Manning Park!  Kids age 5-15 can bring their parents along as they learn everything there is to know about fishing!  Gear is provided.  Programs are every Tuesday from 11-1, until August 22, 2017.  Meet at the Lightning Lake Amphitheatre – rain or shine!

Parks Day Celebrations

July 15th, 2017 – Celebrate Park Days with a party with all our friends – @ Lightning Lake Day Use from 11am-3pm, featuring BC AdventureSmart team, Freshwater Fisheries Society, Hike BC and BC Hydro with energy conservation fun tips. Join us for this special day!

Gold Rush Days

August 4, 2017 – 8pm at the Amphitheatre. Join Sam and Fanny as they wait for the stage coach to take them up to the Gold Rush.  Lots of fun and opportunities for audience participation.

The Well Worn Trail

August 8, 2017 – 7:30pm Join performers “The Well Worn Trail” as they combine music with puppetry and stories to kindle the wonder of nature! See this family-friendly program at the Lightning Lake Amphitheatre.
