A campfire is defined as:
An open fire that burns piled material no larger than 0.5 m in height and 0.5 m in width and is used by any person for recreational purpose, or by a First Nation for a ceremonial purpose. More information

Boat Rentals

Get out on the water on Lightning Lake during your stay at Manning Park with our boat rentals. Enjoy an adventure in a two seater canoe, five-person Mackenzie canoe, rowboat, kayak or stand-up paddleboard. We have hourly and day rates available at the Boathouse (located at the Lightning Lake Day Use Area). This is fun for the whole family! The Boathouse also stocks a variety of snacks, cold drinks and ice cream treats.

The Boathouse opens May long weekend until Thanksgiving (weather permitting). When the Boathouse is closed, rentals are handled through the Manning Park Resort Front Desk.

Boat rentals are now finished for the season, re-opening Spring 2017.

A credit card imprint or driver’s license is required for rental.

All rates include taxes. Refunds will not be given for early returns. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Traveller’s Cheques and Cash (ATM located at Manning Park Lodge). Equipment is available on a first come, first served basis and is subject to availability. Minimum rental time is one hour, and fees apply for late returns.  A credit card imprint or driver’s license is required for rental.  PFDs and paddles are provided for passengers, with additional equipment available for rent.

Boat Launch

A boat launch for non-motorized crafts is available at Lightning Lake day use area, located beside the boathouse. Motorized crafts of any kind are not permitted on Lightning Lake or on any body of water in E.C. Manning Provincial Park.
